This release has the following new features and improvements:
- Automatic node discovery feature, raises an alarm if
a new node is discovered.
- A new type of alarm, the 'Popup alarm'.
- A improved Hints function, each form contains a
Explain field now.
- For first time users only: when the sample file is
loaded a new page will be created containing the local segment and the local
host and Didyma will try to discover all nodes at the local segment.
- Before saving a changed model file, the original one
will be saved as a separate file.

information about your nodes (hardware brand and type, supplier, operating
system type and version, financial data, contact information, etc.) In the
datamodel you may define what kind of information you would like to
maintain.

This release has the following new features and improvements:
- The SNMP monitoring function now also includes the
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB (RFC 1514).
- Mail alarms are sent to a recipient list now instead
off individual mail addresses. This makes it convenient to sent all your
alarms to another mail address by simply changing the recipient list.
- For nodes with no ip address the 'no ip address'
label can be deleted now.

This release has the following new features and improvements:
- The user interface has been changed and, especially
for new users, is easier to understand now.
- Didyma has been changed to be able to completely
monitor a service. In this version a start has been made by implementing
SMTP and HTTP. This means that you can monitor your mail server by sending a
mail and monitor your web server by retrieving a page. If this addition is
appreciated by the users, other services may follow in future releases.
- The location of the log file cannot be specified
anymore, for each modelfile Didyma will create a corresponding logfile in
the ...\logs directory. The format of the entries in the logfile has changed
a bit. For details see the Help file. Both changes are meant to improve the
reliability of the logfile and the reports which are based upon the logfile.
- The Use Default Properties check box has disappeared,
it was of little use and complicated the design of Didyma significantly.
- The Options|Services Window has disappeared, its
function has been taken over at other places.
- The PortTester has disappeared. Each of the services
mentioned above has a test function included.

- Maintenance of available services in included in Didyma now,
services can be added and updated on the fly. The services file is not used anymore. The
services are stored in the model file instead.
- This release contains a reporting function on up and down times and
on turnaround times.
- The porttester has a new feature to test UDP ports.
- The network layout pictures are now available in the browser view.
- To keep the log file under control old entries can be deleted
automatically.
